Overview

Techno International New Town (TINT) began in 2005 as Techno India College of Technology and later took its current name. The campus is at Block DG 1/1, Action Area I, New Town, in the planned township east of Salt Lake, close to the city’s newer IT parks and a short drive from the airport. It is one of the Techno India Group’s engineering colleges in the Kolkata area.

TINT is a private college affiliated to MAKAUT and approved by AICTE. It received a NAAC B++ grade in its first accreditation cycle in 2024, and it is not listed in NIRF 2025. B.Tech branches include CSE with AI-ML, Data Science, Cyber Security and IoT tracks, AI & Data Science, CSBS, IT, ECE, Electrical, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation, Civil and Mechanical Engineering. M.Tech, MBA, MCA, BCA, BBA and animation degrees are also offered. Boys’ and girls’ hostels are arranged in partnership with outside providers.

B.Tech seats are allotted on WBJEE ranks through WBJEEB counselling, and JEE Main rank holders can also take part in the same process. Eligibility

10+2 with Physics and Mathematics plus Chemistry or another eligible science/technical subject as per WBJEEB and AICTE norms, with a valid WBJEE or JEE Main rank; diploma holders can enter the second year through JELET.

Admission process

B.Tech seats are allotted through WBJEEB counselling on WBJEE ranks, with JEE Main rank holders also eligible for seats in the same counselling; any remaining seats are filled by the college under state rules.
