Overview
Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication was established in 1990 by the Madhya Pradesh government. It is named after the Hindi poet and journalist Makhanlal Chaturvedi, and its main campus is in Bhopal.
It is a state university recognised by the UGC and one of the few universities in India dedicated to journalism and communication. Programmes cover journalism, mass communication, advertising and public relations, electronic media, new media and computer applications.
