Overview
Sikkim University, Gangtok was established in 2007 by an Act of Parliament as a central university, becoming the first central university located in the state of Sikkim and serving as a hub for research on Himalayan studies and the region’s unique biodiversity.
Sikkim University is a central university and its programmes are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
