Overview
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is a 5.5-year undergraduate degree (including a one-year compulsory rotatory internship) that trains students in the classical Ayurvedic system of medicine alongside modern diagnostic and anatomical sciences. Admission is generally through NEET-UG followed by state or All India Ayurveda counselling.
