Overview

Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College (SAKEC) was established in 1985 and stands on Waman Tukaram Patil Marg in Chembur, in Mumbai’s eastern suburbs, with Govandi as the nearest suburban railway station. Over four decades the college has grown from a small engineering institute into a campus with a strong tilt towards computing, electronics and communication, and it now runs a wide range of undergraduate branches alongside postgraduate, doctoral and vocational programmes.

SAKEC is a private autonomous college affiliated to the University of Mumbai, with UGC autonomy granted from 2024-25. It holds NAAC ‘A’ accreditation, and its Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Engineering and Information Technology programmes are NBA accredited. Undergraduate branches include Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication, AI & Data Science, Cyber Security, Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology) and Advanced Communication Technology. It also runs M.Tech, PhD and B.Voc programmes.

First-year seats are allotted through MHT CET scores in the Maharashtra CAP rounds conducted by the State CET Cell, and the college also runs a pre-admission registration on its admission portal.
