Overview

Atharva College of Engineering has been training engineers since the late 1990s from its campus on Malad–Marve Road at Charkop Naka, Malad West, in Mumbai’s north-western suburbs. The college is listed with the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra under institute code EN3203 and is a non-minority institution, so its seats are open to candidates from all communities under state rules. The same Atharva campus network also runs management institutes in the area.

Atharva is an affiliated college of the University of Mumbai, approved by AICTE, and states that it is NAAC re-accredited with an ‘A+’ grade. B.E. branches are Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, with the largest intakes in Computer, IT and Electronics & Telecommunication. Diploma holders can join through direct second-year entry. The college does not provide hostel accommodation, so outstation students need to arrange their own stay.

About 80% of first-year seats are filled through the Maharashtra CAP rounds using MHT CET or JEE Main scores, and the remaining 20% are institute-level seats filled directly by the college. Eligibility

Passed HSC / Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics compulsory plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or a technical vocational subject, with at least 45% in these subjects (40% for eligible reserved categories from Maharashtra), and a valid MHT CET or JEE Main score.
