Overview

JNTUH University College of Engineering, Science & Technology Hyderabad traces its roots to 1965, when it began as Nagarjunasagar Engineering College under Osmania University. It became a constituent college of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University when JNTU was set up in 1972, and moved from Masab Tank to its present campus at Kukatpally in 1984. The campus lies on the Hyderabad–Mumbai highway in the city’s north-western suburbs, about 20 km from the old city centre.

It is a government constituent college of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), a state university with an A+ grade from NAAC. The college has no NIRF entry of its own; its parent university, JNTUH, is ranked 94 in the NIRF 2025 Engineering list. B.Tech branches include Civil, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Metallurgical and Chemical Engineering. It also runs M.Tech, M.Sc. and integrated dual-degree programmes, with separate hostels for men and women.
