Overview
Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) was established in 1979 and occupies a campus at Kokapet village in Gandipet mandal of Ranga Reddy district, on the western side of Hyderabad. The college sits close to the Financial District and the wider IT corridor around Gachibowli and Narsingi, which makes it easy to reach for students living in the western suburbs. It is one of the older private engineering colleges in the city.
CBIT is a private autonomous college affiliated to Osmania University, autonomous since 2013-14. It holds an A++ grade from NAAC (third cycle), several of its programmes are NBA-accredited, and it is placed in the NIRF 2025 Engineering band 151–200. B.E./B.Tech branches include Civil, Computer Science, CSE (AI & ML), CSE (IoT & Cyber Security), AI & Data Science, AI & ML, IT, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Chemical and Biotechnology. It also offers M.E./M.Tech, MBA and MCA, and has hostel accommodation.
