Overview

Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology (KMIT) was established in 2007 and is one of the few engineering colleges in central Hyderabad, located at Narayanguda close to Himayatnagar. Its compact city campus means students commute by bus or the Hyderabad Metro rather than travelling to the outskirts, which suits those living in the older central and eastern parts of the city.

KMIT is a private autonomous college affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) and approved by AICTE. NAAC has accredited it with an A grade, and its programmes carry NBA accreditation. The college focuses entirely on computing: B.Tech branches are CSE, CSE (AI & ML), CSE (Data Science) and Information Technology. It does not offer core branches such as civil or mechanical engineering, which makes it a common choice for students set on a software career.

B.Tech seats are filled through TG EAPCET in TG EAPCET convenor counselling (college code KMIT), with the remaining seats offered as management (Category-B) seats under Telangana rules; lateral entry is through TG ECET.
