Overview

Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology (GRIET) was founded in 1997 and stands on Nizampet Road at Bachupally, in the Kukatpally area of north-west Hyderabad. The campus sits in the fast-growing Nizampet–Bachupally belt, within easy reach of Miyapur, KPHB and the western IT corridor, so it is a practical daily commute for students living across the western and northern suburbs of the Hyderabad metro region.

GRIET is a private college permanently affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), with UGC autonomous status running to 2030–31. NAAC accredited it with an A++ grade in its 2021 cycle, and six B.Tech programmes carry NBA accreditation. In NIRF 2025 it is placed in the Engineering 151–200 band.
