Overview

RV Institute of Technology and Management (RVITM) was established in 2019 by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST), the body behind RV College of Engineering and a large family of schools and colleges in the city. The campus sits in Chaithanya Layout, 8th Phase, JP Nagar, a residential part of south Bangalore. As one of the youngest engineering colleges in the city, RVITM draws on the long academic track record and alumni network of the RV group.

RVITM is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and approved by AICTE. Its B.E. programmes include Computer Science & Engineering, CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) and Electronics & Communication Engineering, with a focus on computing and electronics rather than a long list of branches. The college also runs a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme. Hostel accommodation is available for both boys and girls, which helps students coming from outside Bangalore.

Passed 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics and English plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Electronics, with at least 45% in the qualifying subjects (40% for eligible reserved categories), and a valid KCET or COMEDK UGET rank as applicable.
