Overview

The Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) is an undergraduate degree introduced under the UGC’s skill-based higher education framework, designed to integrate academic education with vocational training and hands-on skill development. It typically spans three years and combines general education with specialized skill modules in fields such as manufacturing, retail, IT, healthcare, and construction.

B.Voc programs are offered by dedicated skill universities and UGC-recognized institutions, with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) providing multiple exit points at the certificate, diploma, and degree level. This allows students to leave with an industry-relevant qualification at each stage while continuing further study if they choose.
