Overview

Kaushalya – The Skill University was established by the Government of Gujarat in 2020 as India’s first dedicated state skill university, created to bridge the gap between formal higher education and industry-ready vocational competence. Headquartered in Ahmedabad, it operates through a hub-and-spoke model with training centres and industry partners across Gujarat.

As a state university, Kaushalya University is empowered to award its own degrees, diplomas, and certificates under the Gujarat Skill University Act, and its programs are designed in consultation with sector skill councils and industry bodies, with many courses following the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
