Overview

Undergraduate degrees in animation and visual effects include the four-year B.Des in Animation or Animation Film Design, the four-year BFA in Animation, and the three-year B.Sc in Animation and VFX. They cover drawing and storyboarding, 2D and 3D animation, modelling, compositing, visual effects, sound and film language, usually ending with a graduation film.

Admission is through design entrance tests such as NID DAT and UCEED, university fine-arts entrance exams, or an institute’s own portfolio review and interview. Graduates work in animation studios, VFX houses, gaming, advertising and OTT content production.
