Overview
The Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun was established in 1982 by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, and is the country’s foremost institution for wildlife research, training and conservation-policy support.
WII is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and its M.Sc in Wildlife Science is affiliated to Saurashtra University for degree conferment. The institute conducts extensive field research on endangered species, protected area management and human-wildlife conflict.
