Overview

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, usually called VIT Pune, was established in 1983 and is a completely separate institution from VIT Vellore. Its main campus is at 666 Upper Indiranagar in Bibwewadi, a residential part of south-east Pune not far from Market Yard. It is a sister institute of the Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology in Kondhwa, and together they are among the most sought-after private engineering options in the city.

VIT is an autonomous institute affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) with an A++ grade from NAAC, and it sits in the NIRF 2025 Engineering 101–150 band.
