Overview

Sinhgad College of Engineering (SCOE) was set up in 1996 on the Sinhgad institutes’ campus at Vadgaon (Budruk), just off Sinhgad Road in south-west Pune. The campus is roughly 15 km from central Pune and houses several other Sinhgad institutes, so the surrounding area works as a large, largely residential education township with its own hostels, canteens and student services.

SCOE is a private college affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), approved by AICTE and accredited by NAAC with an ‘A+’ grade in its second cycle; several of its programmes have held NBA accreditation. B.E. branches are Computer, Information Technology, E&TC, Mechanical, Production, Civil, Chemical and Biotechnology Engineering. Postgraduate options include M.E. specialisations, an MBA and Ph.D. research, and separate boys’ and girls’ hostels operate on the campus.

Seats are allotted on MHT CET merit through the State CET Cell’s CAP rounds, with All-India seats also available to JEE Main candidates. Eligibility

Class 12 (HSC) with Physics and Mathematics plus Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science or a technical vocational subject, meeting the Maharashtra CET Cell minimum aggregate, and a valid MHT CET (PCM) or JEE Main Paper 1 score.

Admission process

First-year B.E. seats are allotted through the Maharashtra State CET Cell's centralised admission process (CAP) on MHT CET merit, with All-India seats also on JEE Main; institute-level seats follow CET Cell rules.
