Overview

Netaji Subhash Engineering College (NSEC) opened in 1998 and is one of the longer-running private engineering colleges on Kolkata’s southern edge. The campus sits in Techno City, Panchpota, Garia, roughly a kilometre from Garia railway station, which makes it easy to reach by suburban train from Sealdah South as well as by road from Jadavpur, Tollygunge and Sonarpur. It has grown from a small set of core branches into a large multi-department campus.

NSEC is a private college affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) and approved by AICTE. It holds a NAAC B+ grade (second cycle), and NBA accreditation covers B.Tech Biomedical, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication and Electrical Engineering. B.Tech branches include CSE and its AI-ML, Data Science, Cyber Security and IoT tracks, IT, CSBS, AI & Data Science, ECE, Electrical, Electrical & Computer, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation, Biomedical, Civil and Mechanical. M.Tech, MCA, BCA, MBA, BBA and diplomas also run here, and hostel places are arranged on a contract basis.
