Overview

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) Bhopal was established in 1960 as the Maulana Azad College of Technology and became an NIT in 2002. Its large campus is on Link Road No. 3 in Bhopal, close to the Upper Lake, and within the city limits of Madhya Pradesh’s capital.

MANIT is an Institute of National Importance placed at NIRF 2025 Engineering rank 81. B.Tech programmes include computer science, electronics and communication, electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil, and materials and metallurgical engineering, and it also offers B.Arch and B.Plan. Hostels are provided for undergraduate students.

Eligibility

Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics (plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or a technical vocational subject) meeting the JoSAA 75% (65% for SC/ST/PwD) or top-20-percentile criterion, and a valid JEE Main rank.

Admission process

B.Tech seats are allotted through JoSAA counselling (and CSAB special rounds for vacant seats) on the JEE Main rank, with 50% Home State (Madhya Pradesh) and 50% Other State quotas. B.Arch and B.Plan use JEE Main Paper 2.
