Overview

Mahindra University’s École Centrale School of Engineering grew out of Mahindra École Centrale, the engineering college set up in 2014 with a curriculum co-designed with École Centrale in France. The school is now the engineering arm of Mahindra University, whose campus lies at Bahadurpally near Jeedimetla on the northern edge of Hyderabad, in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, away from the crowded city core.

It is part of Mahindra University, a private degree-awarding university, placed in the NIRF 2025 Engineering band 101–150. B.Tech options include Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Computer, VLSI Design & Technology, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Civil, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Computation & Mathematics and Computational Biology, plus B.Tech–LL.B. (Hons.) and an integrated M.Tech. M.Tech and PhD programmes are also offered, and the 130-acre campus is fully residential.

Admission is run by the university itself, not through state counselling. Indian applicants qualify with a JEE Main score or a valid SAT or ACT score, plus at least 60% in Class 12, and hostel stay is compulsory for B.Tech students. At least 60% in Class 12 from a recognised board plus a JEE Main score, or a valid SAT (minimum 800) or ACT (composite 18) score; PCB students are also eligible for Biotechnology.

Direct admission by Mahindra University through its online application, with merit based on JEE Main, SAT or ACT; there is no state counselling for these seats.
