Overview

Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara (IIIT Vadodara) was established in 2013 under the public-private partnership model, with the central government, the Gujarat government and industry partners as stakeholders. Despite its name, it runs from a transit campus in Gandhinagar while its permanent campus is developed.

IIIT Vadodara is an Institute of National Importance under the IIIT (PPP) Act. B.Tech programmes are in computer science and electronics and communication engineering. The institute also runs an international campus at Diu, which appears as a separate option in JoSAA. Hostel arrangements are made for undergraduate students.

B.Tech seats are filled on JEE Main ranks through JoSAA counselling, with no home-state quota. Check which campus a programme is taught at, Gandhinagar or Diu, before filling choices. Sign up free to see fees by quota, closing ranks and placement data.

Eligibility

Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics (plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or a technical vocational subject) meeting the JoSAA 75% (65% for SC/ST/PwD) or top-20-percentile criterion, and a valid JEE Main rank.

Admission process

B.Tech seats are allotted through JoSAA counselling (and CSAB special rounds for vacant seats) on the all-India JEE Main rank; IIITs have no home-state quota.
