Overview

DIT University, Dehradun traces its origins to 1998 when it was founded as Dehradun Institute of Technology, later being granted university status in 2013 under the Uttarakhand DIT University Act. Located in the Mussoorie Diversion area of Dehradun, the university has grown from a single engineering college into a multi-disciplinary institution offering programmes in engineering, management, computer applications and law.

DIT University is UGC-recognised and AICTE-approved, with B.Tech programmes spanning Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Civil and Biotechnology Engineering, along with NBA-accredited programmes in several departments. The university has built industry partnerships and a dedicated career services division that supports placements across IT, core engineering and management-focused roles.
