Overview
Alliance University was established in 2010 as a private university under a Karnataka State Act, and its engineering school, Alliance College of Engineering and Design, is on the university campus at Chikkahagade Cross on Chandapura–Anekal Main Road in Anekal, on the south-eastern edge of Bangalore beyond Electronic City. The campus combines engineering with business, law, liberal arts and design schools, so B.Tech students share facilities with a large multidisciplinary student community.
Alliance University awards its own degrees and is not affiliated to VTU. It is accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade. B.Tech branches include Computer Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Information Technology (with Data Analytics and AR/VR tracks), Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Civil and Aerospace Engineering. The college also offers M.Tech and doctoral programmes in engineering and basic sciences, and the campus has separate hostels for boys and girls.
Admission is through KCET, COMEDK UGET, JEE Main and the university’s own test, AUEET, plus management seats; direct applicants may also go through an essay, a short presentation and an interview.
