Overview

Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC) was established in 1988 as a West Bengal state government engineering college located in Kalyani, Nadia district, in the same academic township that hosts the University of Kalyani and IIIT Kalyani. The college has built a solid regional reputation over more than three decades as one of the established government engineering colleges in West Bengal.

The college is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) and approved by AICTE, offering B.Tech programmes in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Several branches hold NBA accreditation, and as a government institution, KGEC offers considerably lower fees than West Bengal’s private engineering colleges.
