Overview
Indian Institute of Information Technology Kalyani (IIIT Kalyani) was set up in 2014 under the public-private partnership model, with the central government, the West Bengal government and industry partners as stakeholders. It is based in Kalyani, a planned town in Nadia district about 50 km north of Kolkata on the Sealdah suburban rail line.
IIIT Kalyani is an Institute of National Importance under the IIIT (PPP) Act. B.Tech programmes are in computer science, information technology, and electronics and communication engineering. Hostel arrangements are made for undergraduate students.
