Overview
Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi (IIIT Ranchi) was set up in 2016 under the public-private partnership model, with the central government, the Jharkhand government and industry partners as stakeholders. It is based in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, and has operated from a temporary campus in the city while its permanent campus is developed.
IIIT Ranchi is an Institute of National Importance under the IIIT (PPP) Act. B.Tech programmes are in computer science, CSE with specialisations such as data science and AI, and electronics and communication engineering. Hostel arrangements are made for undergraduate students.
