Overview
National Institute of Technology Manipur (NIT Manipur) was established in 2010 among the ten new NITs set up that year. Its campus is at Langol on the north-western edge of Imphal, the capital of Manipur, and Imphal airport has direct flights to Kolkata, Guwahati and Delhi.
NIT Manipur is an Institute of National Importance. It was not placed in the NIRF 2025 Engineering top 100. B.Tech programmes include computer science, electronics and communication, electrical, mechanical and civil engineering, and hostels are provided for undergraduate students.

Eligibility
Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics (plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or a technical vocational subject) meeting the JoSAA 75% (65% for SC/ST/PwD) or top-20-percentile criterion, and a valid JEE Main rank.
Admission process
B.Tech seats are allotted through JoSAA counselling (and CSAB special rounds for vacant seats) on the JEE Main rank, with 50% Home State (Manipur) and 50% Other State quotas.
