Overview

Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL), known earlier simply as Techno India, was set up in 2001 in Sector V of Salt Lake, the IT and office district in the eastern part of Kolkata. Its main building is at EM-4/1 in Sector V, surrounded by technology parks and corporate offices, and the college also uses a second campus on the EM Bypass in Sector III near Chingrighata, a short ride away across the township.

TMSL is a private engineering college affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) with AICTE approval, and NBA has accredited its Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Food Technology programmes. B.Tech branches cover CSE with AI/ML, Data Science, Cyber Security, IoT and Business Systems tracks, plus IT, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Food Technology. M.Tech, MCA and MBA are also offered, and hostel accommodation is available.

B.Tech seats are filled on WBJEE ranks through WBJEEB counselling, and JEE Main rank holders can also compete for seats through the board.
