Overview

Vasavi College of Engineering (VCE) was established in 1981 and is located at Ibrahimbagh, near Langar Houz and the Golconda area in western Hyderabad, about 12 km from the city centre. Its position between the older western neighbourhoods and the Narsingi–Gachibowli side of the city makes it a practical choice for day scholars commuting from much of west and central Hyderabad.

VCE is a private autonomous college affiliated to Osmania University; UGC autonomy was first granted from 2014-15 and has been extended to 2030-31. It holds an A++ grade from NAAC, and its Civil, CSE, ECE, EEE, IT and Mechanical programmes are NBA-accredited. It is not listed in NIRF 2025 Engineering. B.E. branches are Civil, Computer Science, CSE (AI & ML), Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering, alongside M.E., M.Tech and MCA programmes.

Most B.E. seats are filled through TG EAPCET and TG EAPCET counselling (convenor quota), with management / B-category seats admitted by the college under state rules; diploma holders can join the second year through TG ECET.
