Overview

Easwari Engineering College was founded in 1996 and is located on Bharathi Salai in Ramapuram, a residential neighbourhood in west Chennai between Porur and Guindy. It belongs to the SRM group of institutions and is often called SRM Easwari. Being inside the city, the campus is well connected by road and suburban transport, with the Guindy industrial estate and the Mount–Poonamallee Road IT offices a short commute away, which suits day scholars from across Chennai.

Easwari is an autonomous college affiliated to Anna University, with autonomous status since 2019, and is approved by AICTE. It is placed in the NIRF 2025 Engineering rank band 101–150. Its thirteen UG engineering programmes include Computer Science, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Civil, Information Technology, Automobile, Biomedical, Robotics and Automation, Cyber Security and three AI and Data Science–related branches. Separate hostels for boys and girls are available for outstation students.

Government-quota B.E./B.Tech seats are allotted through TNEA counselling by DoTE, Tamil Nadu, on Class 12 marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, with no entrance exam; management-quota seats are filled by the college.
