Overview

Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST) was established in 1997 and is located at Yamnampet near Ghatkesar in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, on the eastern edge of the Hyderabad metro region. The roughly 33-acre campus sits in the Ghatkesar education cluster beyond Uppal, and a large share of its students travel in daily from eastern and central Hyderabad using the college’s own transport network.

SNIST is a private college affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) and runs as an autonomous institution; it was among the first JNTUH colleges to gain autonomy, in 2010–11. NAAC has accredited it with an A grade, and it holds NBA accreditation for its programmes. B.Tech branches include Civil, CSE with AI & ML, IoT, Data Science and Cyber Security options, IT, ECE, EEE and Mechanical Engineering, alongside M.Tech and MBA programmes and on-campus hostels.

B.Tech seats are filled through TG EAPCET in TG EAPCET convenor counselling, plus management (Category-B) seats under Telangana rules, and TG ECET for lateral entry. A separate Sreenidhi University, set up under the Telangana State Private Universities Act, now runs its own admissions, so check which institution you are applying to. Pass in Intermediate / Class 12 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and a valid TG EAPCET rank for convenor seats; Category-B seats follow Telangana government eligibility rules.

Admission process

Category-A B.Tech seats (about 70%) are allotted through TG EAPCET convenor counselling and Category-B (management) seats are filled by the college under Telangana rules; lateral entry is via TG ECET. Sreenidhi University is a separate institution with its own admissions.
