Overview
CVR College of Engineering is located at Mangalpalli village in Ibrahimpatnam mandal of Rangareddy district, about 20 km from central Hyderabad on the south-eastern fringe of the metro region. The semi-rural campus gives it more open space than colleges in the crowded city centre, while still drawing large numbers of day scholars from across Hyderabad’s eastern and southern suburbs who commute by college transport.
CVR is a private college affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) with autonomous status granted by the UGC. NAAC has accredited it with an A grade in its second cycle (2022–2027), and seven UG programmes hold NBA accreditation. In NIRF 2025 it is placed in the Engineering 151–200 band. B.Tech branches include CSE, CSE (AI & ML), CSE (Data Science), CSE (Cyber Security), CSBS, IT, ECE, EE (VLSI), EEE, EIE, Civil and Mechanical; M.Tech and Ph.D. programmes are also offered, and there is a hostel for girls.
B.Tech seats are filled through TG EAPCET in TG EAPCET convenor counselling, with the remaining seats offered as management (Category-B) seats under Telangana rules; diploma holders can enter the second year through TG ECET.
