All four current JNTUH B.Tech regulations use the same formula, so your percentage does not change with your batch. The regulation still matters for grade points and class awards.

JNTUH grade points and SGPA/CGPA
Each subject gets a grade point from your marks. SGPA is the credit-weighted average of grade points in a semester: SGPA = Σ(credits × grade points) ÷ Σ credits. CGPA is the same average taken across every subject you have registered for up to that semester.

JNTUH’s formula is written for your final CGPA. Using it on a single semester’s SGPA gives a fair estimate for that semester, but not an official figure.
Does this apply to JNTU Kakinada or JNTU Anantapur?
No. JNTUK and JNTUA are separate universities with their own regulations. This calculator uses JNTU Hyderabad’s formula only.
