Sapthagiri NPS University (SNPSU) is a private university set up under a Karnataka state Act and notified in 2023. Its campus is at Chikkasandra on Hesaraghatta Main Road in north-west Bangalore, the same location as Sapthagiri College of Engineering, which the university’s website features within its School of Engineering & Technology. The university also has schools of management, applied sciences and medicine, linked to Sapthagiri Hospital.

As a private state university, SNPSU awards its own degrees and is not affiliated to VTU. Its B.E. programmes cover Computer Science & Engineering, CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science), CSE (Data Science), Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Passed 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Electronics, with at least 45% in these subjects (40% for eligible reserved categories), and a valid KCET or COMEDK UGET rank as applicable; direct admission follows the university's own criteria.
