Overview
Amruta Institute of Engineering and Management Sciences (AIEMS) was established in 2008. Its campus is in the Bidadi industrial town near the Toyota Kirloskar Motor plant, just off the Bangalore–Mysuru highway to the south-west of the city. Bidadi is an established manufacturing hub, and the college highlights its industry links through a Toyota Centre of Excellence and an IoT Centre of Excellence on its campus.
AIEMS is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and approved by AICTE. B.E. branches are Computer Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Information Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The institute also runs an MBA programme, and separate hostels for boys and girls, with a canteen, are available within the campus.
Admission is through KCET and COMEDK UGET, plus management quota. Students from Bangalore city should plan for the commute along the Mysuru Road corridor or opt for the hostel, and the nearby industrial area is worth keeping in mind when you look for internships. Eligibility
Passed 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Electronics, with at least 45% in these subjects (40% for eligible reserved categories), and a valid KCET or COMEDK UGET rank as applicable.
Admission process
Government-quota seats are allotted through KCET counselling (KEA) and COMEDK-quota seats through COMEDK UGET counselling. Management-quota seats are handled directly by the college.
