Overview
Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr. AIT) was established in 1980. Its campus is on the Outer Ring Road at Mallathahalli, next to Bangalore University’s Jnana Bharathi campus in west Bangalore.
Dr. AIT is a government-aided college, autonomous since 2010 and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). It is approved by AICTE and holds an A+ grade from NAAC. Because many seats are aided, KCET fees on aided seats are among the lowest of Bangalore’s private-run engineering colleges. It offers B.E., M.Tech and MBA, with hostels available.

Passed 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Electronics, with at least 45% in these subjects (40% for eligible reserved categories), and a valid KCET or COMEDK UGET rank.
