Overview

B.Sc. (Honours) programmes are three- or four-year undergraduate degrees in a core science subject such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, statistics, computer science or life sciences. Specialised variants include the B.Stat (Hons) and B.Math (Hons) offered by the Indian Statistical Institute and mathematics-focused honours degrees at the Chennai Mathematical Institute.

Admission is through CUET-UG for central university colleges, or an institute’s own entrance test for specialised institutes. Graduates go on to M.Sc./PhD programmes or roles in analytics, finance, technology and research.
