Overview
Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), established in 1955 in Ranchi, Jharkhand, by the Jesuit order, is one of India’s oldest institutes combining social work education with rural and human resource management, historically focused on tribal and rural development in the Chotanagpur plateau region.
