Overview
Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA) was founded in 1986 in Bengaluru and granted deemed-to-be-university status by the UGC in 2002, becoming India’s first university dedicated entirely to the scientific study, teaching, and therapeutic application of yoga.
S-VYASA offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in yoga and allied health sciences, with an integrated research wing that has published extensively on yoga’s clinical effects, and its campus includes a yoga therapy hospital (Arogyadhama) for practical training.
