Overview
Sri Krishna Institute of Technology (SKIT) was established in 2001 at Chimney Hills on Hesaraghatta Main Road, Chikkabanavara, in north-west Bangalore. The campus lies between the Peenya industrial belt and Hesaraghatta, a short ride from the Chikkabanavara railway station, and is run by the Sri Raghavendra Educational Institutions Society. It is a private, self-financing college that draws students from across Karnataka and other states.
SKIT is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), approved by AICTE and accredited by NAAC with a B grade. It offers seven B.E. programmes: Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Information Science, Electronics & Communication, Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology), Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls, including a girls’ hostel on campus.

Eligibility
Passed 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Electronics, with at least 45% in these subjects (40% for eligible reserved categories), and a valid KCET, COMEDK UGET or JEE Main score as applicable.
Admission process
Government-quota seats through KCET counselling (KEA, code E112) and COMEDK-quota seats through COMEDK counselling (code E132). Management-quota seats, for which the college also considers JEE Main, are handled by the college.
