Overview
Established in 1959, the National School of Drama is India’s premier theatre training institution, set up by the Sangeet Natak Akademi and later functioning as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
NSD is recognised by the UGC to confer degree-equivalent diplomas and runs its three-year Diploma in Dramatic Arts along with specialised courses in acting, direction, design and playwriting.
