Overview

Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology (MSIT) is a private engineering college located at C-4, Janakpuri, in west Delhi. Janakpuri is one of the city’s largest planned residential colonies, and the campus is easy to reach by the Delhi Metro and city buses from Dwarka, Uttam Nagar and the rest of west Delhi. MSIT has built a steady reputation among the self-financed engineering institutes of the capital, particularly for its computing and electronics departments.

MSIT is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), approved by AICTE and accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC. Its four B.Tech programmes, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, all hold NBA accreditation, and CSE, IT and ECE also run a second shift. The CSE and ECE departments are recognised by GGSIPU as PhD research centres.

B.Tech admission is on the basis of JEE Main through GGSIPU centralised counselling, with most seats filled on merit and a small management quota handled as per university rules. Eligibility

Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics plus one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or Computer Science, meeting GGSIPU's minimum aggregate and with English as a passed subject, and a valid JEE Main (Paper 1) rank.

Admission process

B.Tech seats are allotted on JEE Main rank through GGSIPU centralised online counselling (Delhi-region and outside-Delhi merit lists); about 10% management-quota seats follow GGSIPU rules.
