Overview

K.N.S. Institute of Technology (KNSIT) was established in 2001 and its campus was inaugurated in 2002 at Hegde Nagar, off Kogilu Road in Thirumenahalli, north Bangalore. The college was founded by former Union Railway Minister C.K. Jaffer Sharief. Its roughly 20-acre campus lies close to Yelahanka and the Thanisandra–Hennur belt, with easy access to the Bellary Road route towards the international airport.

KNSIT is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by AICTE. Its B.E./B.Tech offering is broad for a college of its size: Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, AI & Data Science, Data Science, IoT & Cyber Security including Blockchain, Information Science, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls.

Eligibility

Passed 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Electronics, with at least 45% in these subjects (40% for eligible reserved categories), and a valid KCET or COMEDK UGET rank as applicable.

Admission process

Government-quota seats through KCET counselling (KEA, code E100) and COMEDK-quota seats through COMEDK counselling (code E075). Management-quota seats are handled by the college.
