Overview

Islamiah Institute of Technology was established in 1979 and describes itself as the first minority engineering college in Karnataka. Its campus is on National Park Road at Hulimavu, just off Bannerghatta Road in south Bangalore, on the way to Bannerghatta National Park. The location is well served by city buses along Bannerghatta Road and is within reach of Jayanagar, JP Nagar and BTM Layout.

The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by AICTE. It is a small institution offering four-year B.E. programmes in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical and Civil Engineering.
