Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad (GECA) was established in 1960 as a Maharashtra state government engineering college in Aurangabad (now Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar), making it one of the older government-run engineering institutions in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra. The college has served as a key access point to affordable technical education for students across the region for over six decades.

The college is affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University and approved by AICTE, offering B.Tech programmes in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Production Engineering.
