Overview

Chhatrapati Shivaji Institute of Technology, Rajnandgaon (CSIT) was established in 2001 as a private self-financed engineering college in the Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh, set up to serve the growing demand for technical education outside the state’s larger cities of Raipur and Bhilai. Since its founding, CSIT has expanded to include multiple engineering branches along with management and computer application programmes.

The institute is affiliated with Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University and approved by AICTE, offering B.E. programmes in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering. CSIT has built a research and consultancy wing over the years and holds NBA accreditation for select programmes, positioning it among the more established private engineering colleges in the Chhattisgarh interior.

Admission to B.E. programmes follows the Chhattisgarh state counselling process based on JEE Main scores, with management quota seats filled directly by the institute.
