Overview
Birsa Institute of Technology, Sindri (BIT Sindri), Dhanbad, is one of the oldest government engineering colleges in eastern India, established in 1949 and affiliated to Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), distinct from the centrally-funded IIT (ISM) Dhanbad in the same district.
