Overview
BGS College of Engineering and Technology (BGSCET) was established in 2022, admitting its first B.E. batch in the 2022–23 academic year. It is a unit of the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust through the BGSKH Education Trust. The campus is on Pipeline Road in Mahalakshmipuram, just west of West of Chord Road in west Bangalore, a well-connected residential area near Rajajinagar, Vijayanagar and the Mahalakshmi and Sandal Soap Factory metro stations.
BGSCET is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and approved by AICTE. As a new college it is focused entirely on computing branches: B.E. in Computer Science, Information Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science and Computer Science & Design. An MBA programme is also offered, and hostels are available for boys and girls.
Admission is through KCET for government-quota seats and COMEDK UGET for COMEDK seats, plus management quota. Eligibility
Passed 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Electronics, with at least 45% in these subjects (40% for eligible reserved categories), and a valid KCET or COMEDK UGET rank as applicable.
Admission process
Government-quota seats through KCET counselling (KEA, college code E286) and COMEDK-quota seats through COMEDK counselling (code E207). Management-quota seats are handled by the college.
