Overview

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM) Gwalior was established in 1997 by the central government, combining information technology with management education from the start. Its large campus is on Morena Link Road in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, below the historic Gwalior Fort.

ABV-IIITM is an Institute of National Importance placed at NIRF 2025 Engineering rank 96. Alongside four-year B.Tech programmes in computer science and related fields, it is known for five-year integrated programmes that combine a B.Tech with an M.Tech or MBA. Hostels are provided for all undergraduate students.

Eligibility

Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics (plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or a technical vocational subject) meeting the JoSAA 75% (65% for SC/ST/PwD) or top-20-percentile criterion, and a valid JEE Main rank.

Admission process

B.Tech and integrated programme seats are allotted through JoSAA counselling (and CSAB special rounds for vacant seats) on the all-India JEE Main rank; IIITs have no home-state quota.
