Overview

Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST), Murthal was established in 1987 as an engineering college and later granted state university status in 2006 under a Haryana state act, named after the farmers’ leader Sir Chhotu Ram. Located in Murthal, near Sonipat, the university is one of Haryana’s established state-run technical universities.

The university is UGC-recognised and its engineering programmes are AICTE-approved, offering B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering. DCRUST holds NAAC accreditation and NBA accreditation for several branches, and as a state government university, it maintains comparatively lower fees than Haryana’s private engineering universities.
